Sanding & Sealing
This contract was completed for a private client in Great Haywood, Staffordshire. The process took just under a week from start to finish as these blocks were reclaimed from an old school. The client wanted a rustic look to be in keeping with the rest of the property. The bitumen was removed from the blocks before using a traditional laying technique to refit the floor. Next we sand and seal using a bonakmi laquer matt finish to bring the floor back to life.

This particular job was carried out for a private client in Staffordshire. The blocks were brand new unfinished Oak rustic to be layed through four different rooms. The subfloor was in dire need of levelling to provide an even surface. The concrete was tested prior to fitting for relative humidity levels, the levels were adequate and did not require damp proofing (see our services). The client required the skirting board to be left on and opted for a 15mm cork to be placed around the edge of the floor instead of beading. The total process took around two weeks and the sand and seal a further two days.
